Sick and Tired

003
This week was a heck of a week. It started out well, working the weekend went really well and we were set up for a great day off on Tuesday. My mom and Dave and I went to the Frederick Meijer Gardens on Tuesday to take lots of pictures. More on that later.  Then, we made a crucial mistake….we gave Harley a bath…(cue ominous music).

Apparently, we are not meant to hive the boy a bath. He woke up with a huge hot spot on his neck, prompting an emergency vet visit to Dr. Banks. Again, he is just too awesome.

The past few days have been a blur. Harley is on Prednisone which makes him drink like crazy, and then pee like crazy! He is up every hour through the night. He is also on Benadryl every 4 hours, antibiotic twice daily and pain medication every 8. He has more medication than anyone else I know 🙂

The hot spot was on the bottom of his neck and it was so swollen and painful that he could not put his head down. It was the saddest thing to see him sleeping upright. He totally got a little crazy there for a few days as he was super sleep deprived, super painful and hopped up on pain meds and prednisone.

This morning is the first day that he slept until 4:30 am and let me tell you, it was GLORIOUS!!

There will be no workout roundup this week. We have all been struggling to keep our lives together this week. Next week will be better, I am sure 🙂
